July 2024 Resident of the Month

Meet Kenny Quick, Traditions' July Resident of the Month! Kenny has called Meadow Brook Senior Living home for nearly 4 years. 

Kenny was born and raised in Danville, Pennsylvania, a small town along the Susquehanna River's North Branch, once known for its coal and iron ore mines. 

Kenny met his beautiful wife, Beverly, in Florida.

“Beverly and my niece chose Meadow Brook Senior Living. She lived here with me until she passed.”

Before retiring as a hospital electrician, Kenny loved trout fishing in Pennsylvania. He now enjoys doing Word Search puzzles, playing bingo, or going to rehab. 

When we asked Kenny what his favorite food at Meadow Brook is, he stated, “Hands down, the pizza!”

“We were thrilled to nominate Kenny Quick for Traditions’ Resident of the Month,” said Meadow Brook’s Executive Director Allison Roskam. “Everyone in our community feels Kenny's warm and welcoming nature. He greets everyone with a smile and treats every person as a friend, embodying the spirit of kindness and inclusivity. Kenny passes out a 'Guardian Angel' prayer card to everyone he meets, an incredibly special gesture. He has been a resident with us since September 3, 2021, and in that time, he has truly become a cherished member of our community. Kenny is not just an outstanding resident; he is an amazing human being whose presence enriches our community daily. We are fortunate to have someone as wonderful as Kenny with us.”
